Openly inspired by Minecraft, EarthCraft is a game where you create your own realm block by block. With hundreds of different blocks to choose from, you'll be the mastermind deciding how to build your world from the ground up. And of course you'll also get to build practically anything else your imagination can muster.
From the settings options you select one of several different control modes to play with. But regardless, its initial premise and controllers are always the same throughout. Towards your left there's a movement cross-pad, and swiping your finger to the right has you moving your sight around each area, panning in and out as you please via the game's camera. Tap on any of the blocks to start building or tearing down older structures.
EarthCrafts defining moment comes as soon as you notice that (unlike other titles within this genre) there are many, many different types of building blocks to choose from. Create your own shelves, chests, rock walls, cobbled stoned streets, obsidian portals and much more.
EarthCraft is essentially a Minecraft clone, offering players two different modes: creative mode where you build your own world, and survival mode where your aim is to outlast the creatures of the night. Pick creative mode to watch as you construct your own world and thrive, but if you're out for a challenge, hit survival mode and face off against any of the many night monsters prowling the darkness in this endless world of cubes.
